Clara’s Thank you Walk for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

My Story

Clara has just spent three months in Alder Hey, both in the ICU and in the neuro rehab ward, after a brain injury. We are walking this year's Oli's Safari Walk at Knowsley Safari Park to raise money for Alder Hey Children's Charity as our way of saying thank you.

When we signed up to do this walk, we imagined we would be pushing Clara round in a specialist reclined wheelchair but between the amazing therapists at Alder Hey and Clara's immense determination, Clara re-learnt to walk (and talk and eat and ride a trike and lots more). As well as raising vital funds, this walk will be a celebration of what the dedicated children's doctors and therapists have helped Clara to achieve.

Any contribution you are able to make will be truly appreciated and will be used to support the life saving work that staff at Alder Hey do every day. Thank you.
